FUMi launched in 2021 and built its UK reputation on two things: unusual flavour choices and quality execution within those choices. Five years in, the question is whether the brand has maintained what made it interesting or settled into the same formula as the mass-market alternatives it positioned itself against.
The short answer is that FUMi still earns its premium positioning. The longer answer requires looking at each part of the product.
The Flavour Range in 2026
The range has expanded since the early days. The original core – Tangy Strawberry, Fiery Mango, Zingy Ginger – is still there and still the backbone of what FUMi does. Around those originals the brand has added options that continue the same flavour-first philosophy: Prickly Pear, Salty Violet, Freezy Mint, Watermelon Mint, Cool Mint X-Strong.
That is a more complete range than FUMi was offering two or three years ago, and the additions are consistent with what made the originals work. Prickly Pear is genuinely unusual. Salty Violet is divisive in the best way. Freezy Mint is an excellent mint option that justifies existing alongside Cool Mint X-Strong by serving a different user need.
The brand has not taken the easy route of adding more strawberry variants or safe flavours to pad out the range. The additions are all genuinely different from what was already there.
Quality Consistency
This is where some brands fail over time – the early products are excellent, the later additions are rushed or underdeveloped. FUMi’s newer products hold the same standard as the originals. Prickly Pear, which is the most delicate flavour in the range, is well-executed in a way that a lesser brand might have bungled by making it too sweet or too artificial.

What Has Not Changed
The format is the same. Slim all-white tobacco-free pouch, 20 per tin, 20 to 30 minute session. This is not a criticism – the format works and there is no reason to change it. The tin design is functional without being particularly interesting. Again, not a problem. FUMi’s investment is in what is inside the tin, not the tin itself.
The pricing has remained in line with other premium UK nicotine pouch brands. It costs more than ZYN or Velo. The quality differential justifies the gap for most users who have tried both.
Who FUMi Is For in 2026
The same users it was always for. People who tried the mainstream options and found them flavourless or predictable. Fruit-preference users who were poorly served by a market dominated by mint options. Users who want something genuinely unusual and are prepared to try Zingy Ginger or Salty Violet on that basis. And experienced pouch users who have built up enough range knowledge to appreciate what FUMi is doing differently.
It is not for first-time nicotine pouch users who want the safest possible introduction to the category. That user should start with ZYN or Velo and come to FUMi once they know what they are looking for. But for users past that initial stage, FUMi remains one of the more interesting brands available in the UK.
